The year leading up to our 10th birthday was an ambitious one and involved considerable investment, including a grant from the Rural Development Growth Programme for England. It enabled us to move to our new home in Easingwold … lock, stock and flock… allowing the business to continue to grow and importantly increase capacity to produce our free range Herb Fed Poultry.
Looking back, Edward started the business in 2010, now together with his wife Emma, we are building firmer foundations for our high-welfare award-winning poultry which is now well respected not only within the Yorkshire food market, but across the country.
“The lease came up on our previous site which prompted us to look for opportunities. Renovating an old farm into a state-of-the-art production facility for Christmas 2019 was a big challenge, but brought a lot of opportunity with it and allowed us to continue to produce birds of the highest quality and control our farm to fork journey”. We are extremely proud that 2020 sees us celebrate our 10th birthday. It’s been a funny year to say the least. We did have some exciting 10th birthday plans but with the current Covid-19 pandemic still within our midst we celebrated our birthday modestly with a small staff BBQ and are very grateful to all be safe and well.
We wanted to use this opportunity to introduce our customers to some of the members of our amazing Herb Fed team so keep an eye out over the coming months as they pop up. #MeetHerbFed
