What to do if you are not happy.

Our website aims to be as comprehensive and as helpful as possible in guiding you through your ordering process. It allows you to check and change your order so please take time to ensure your order is correct before you finally checkout.

When you pay for your order, you agree to buy the Products at the prices indicated including any delivery charges that apply to your purchase.

After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order.

If any item that you have selected is out of stock or the delivery date you have selected is no longer available we will inform you by e-mail and / or phone call within 3 working days.

Payments

Our payment portal is PayPal. This allows you to pay through your PayPal account should you have one, or by Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Maestro or Solo cards. Alternatively you can also call us to pay over the phone.

Changes / cancellations

If you have placed an order and wish to change or cancel it please advise us as soon as possible either by phone or email as per contact details on the website. Unless we have begun to process your order you will be able to change or cancel your order.

Returns / Refunds

Upon delivery please check your order thoroughly on the day of delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept the return of any produce delivered to you, however it goes without saying that if you are unsatisfied we will look resolve the matter promptly.

We are a family run business and take great pride in both our service and poultry –we will aim to respond to you within 1 working day where possible.

If the goods ordered by you are not correct or do not meet your reasonable satisfaction, we may refund or replace the order at our discretion.

Deliveries

Our free-range chickens are fresh every week. We need time to pack them up especially for you – therefore we deliver on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week.

Delivery is free on orders over £50 or £10 on orders below (to any mainland UK address). Collection from Herb Fed Ltd is free of charge – Just give us a ring to arrange a time to make sure we are not out in the field when you arrive.

If you wish your delivery to be made to a non-mainland UK address please contact us to confirm delivery is possible.

Your delivery will be made by APC, or one of our Herb Fed drivers. We can’t give you and exact time for delivery, but can confirm it will be before midday on your selected delivery date.

Your poultry is sent securely sealed in an insulated box and packed with ice to ensure it arrives in fresh and perfect condition.

It is important that deliveries are refrigerated as soon as you open your consignment.

Tracking your order

For APC deliveries order tracking is available. If you have provided us with an email/mobile number, your tracking details will be sent to that device. For further delivery queries please feel free to contact us and we will track it down for you – 01845 501168 / info@herbfed.co.uk.

Please note particularly during the festive period our telephone lines are often very busy at this time.

Missed Deliveries

If you are not at home when the carrier attempts to deliver your order, the carrier will leave a card.
