We’ve been sitting on some news for a few weeks now, and we’re delighted to finally share it. Our Whole Herb Fed Chicken has won Gold in the Poultry category at the Great British Food Awards 2026.
Our Herb Fed Poultry Gravy also picked up a Bronze in the Cooking Kits & Cooking Sauces category. That makes it a very good year for the Sunday roast.

The Great British Food Awards celebrate the very best food and drink produced in Britain, judged by some of the country’s leading food experts. Taking Gold in the Poultry category, with head judge Stuart Ralston, means a great deal to us. Chicken is what we do, and we’ve spent years getting it right.

What makes our chicken different
We’re the UK’s first and only producer of Herb Fed poultry. Our birds roam open fields on our family farm near Easingwold, North Yorkshire, foraging on over ten fresh herb varieties, including parsley, chives, dill, coriander, thyme and tarragon. The herbs are grown just down the road by Edward’s family, on a neighbouring Yorkshire farm.
The herbs don’t make the meat taste of herbs. They keep our birds healthy, well nourished and content. Rearing slowly gives the meat time to develop the firm texture and deep, clean flavour we’re known for. It’s farming without compromise, and it’s lovely to see the judges taste the difference.
This Gold sits alongside our Great Taste awards, which we’ve won every year since 2017.
