Our Herb Fed Chicken and Rooster Wins 2-Star Great Taste Award Alongside Further Recognition for Our Turkey and Chicken Fillets!
We're delighted to announce that Herb Fed Poultry has enjoyed outstanding success at the Great Taste Awards 2026, with all of our poultry recognised by the Guild of Fine Food's expert judging panel. We almost shouted out “Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!” – but we managed to stay calm! 😊

The Great Taste Awards are recognised as the world's most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme. In 2026, more than 15,000 products were blind tasted by expert judges, with only 6,188 products (41.15%) receiving an award.
A Double 2-Star Success
Our Herb Fed Chicken received a coveted 2-Star Great Taste Award, with judges praising its exceptional quality, flavour and tenderness. A 2-Star Rating = Above and beyond delicious.
Among their comments were:
"This is a fabulous sized chicken with a golden skin. When carved, the meat is tender, succulent and juicy."
They also described it as:
"A pleasure to sample," noting its "good depth of flavour" and recognising that "the love that has been spent rearing these birds" shines through in every bite.
Our Herb Fed Rooster also achieved a prestigious 2-Star Award, with judges highlighting its impressive flavour and presentation.
Comments included:
"This bird would be a centrepiece for any event."
They praised its "fabulous depth" of flavour, describing notes of nuttiness, creaminess and grassiness, while recognising it as "a well-cared-for and prepared joint with delicious flavour."
Further Recognition for Herb Fed Turkey and Chicken Fillets
Our Herb Fed Turkey was awarded a 1-Star Great Taste Award, (1 Star: Excellent flavour) with judges describing it as:
"Beautifully bronzed turkey with shiny browned skin... succulent, flavoursome, gamey brown meat, and white meat that is tender and moist."
They praised its succulent meat and ease of carving, recognising the quality that makes it a favourite for special occasions.
Our Herb Fed Chicken Fillet also received a 1-Star Award, with judges commenting on its generous size, juicy texture and excellent welfare standards, noting the care taken in producing such high-quality poultry.
A Proud Moment for Herb Fed Poultry
