These wonderful spiced chicken shawarma kababs are so delicious. Here’s a rather simple fool proof flat bread recipe that works a treat every time. The recipe can be easily adjusted by doubling up if you’re needing more, or halving if you only need two!

Ingredients

Packet Herb Fed shwarma's

Flatbreads

250g plain flour

1 tablespoon natural yoghurt

125 ml water

Pinch of salt

1 tsp dried parsley

Method

If you have a stand mixer then making these flat breads is fairly quick work. Failing that a little patience and consistency works just as well.

You need to add the flour, Natural yogurt, salt and parsley to a bowl and with a third of the water make a lovely bread crumb consistency.

Then drizzle the water to the mix until it comes together into a ball. Kneed for around 10 minutes until the mix has become silky soft - When formed into a ball and pressed gently with the finger it should bounce back to shape.

Pop it back into a bowl and cover. Leave to rest for 30 minutes. Keep covered with a damp towel.

Simply slice into 4 equal portions and roll out into 6- 8 inch circles.

Heat a nonstick frying pan. Once hot, place one portion at a time in the pan to cook - 2 minutes each side should be enough.

Once cooked wrap in a clean tea towel and repeat with the other 3 portions.

Once cooked load these beautiful soft warm wraps with crispy lettuce, slices of cucumber, sweet tomatoes, red onions, and your favourite hummus or tzatziki, before placing your delicious cooked chicken shawarma on top.
