Reared at the foot of the Hambleton hills our award-winning, free-range birds are full of flavour and are deliciously textured.

Our traditionally raised birds are nurtured to the highest welfare standards, ensuring ethical and responsible farming practices. By allowing our poultry to grow slowly and naturally on our carefully managed land, we enhance both the texture and rich, distinctive flavour that discerning customers love.
Unlike intensive farming methods, our birds mature at a natural pace, which improves meat quality and provides a more satisfying eating experience. This slow growth allows their muscles to develop fully, resulting in tender, flavoursome poultry with a depth of taste that stands out.

Our free-range birds benefit from a diverse diet enriched with over 10 varieties of fresh, locally grown herbs every week. Edward’s Aunty Alison and cousin Philip cultivate these delicious herbs on their farm in Sand Hutton, just a stone’s throw from our land. This herb variety supplements the birds’ balanced, additive-free cereal diet, carefully sourced from a trusted local mill.
By combining a natural, slow-growth approach with a nutritious, herb-infused diet free from additives, we ensure our poultry remains healthy and happy throughout their development.

Our birds are part of our family and enjoy true free-range living, with plenty of space to roam and forage naturally.
Allowed to follow their instincts, our birds live in small flocks, happily exploring the outdoors during the day.
We hand-bed their housing daily, with birds only kept indoors at night for protection from predators like Mr Fox.

The main principle we work by is a happy bird is a healthy bird and a tasty bird to top, it’s due to these high husbandry practices that makes for our unique and quality poultry produce.
