DESCRIPTION

This product is a Christmas special and therefore only available for Christmas week. 

Two large Award winning Herb Fed free range Chickens that have not only been able to truly range free and forage in the fields here on the farm in Yorkshire, but  our birds are also fed a diet which includes over 10 varieties of fresh herbs.

Their unique diet and thoughtful husbandry result in a large healthy and succulent bird with the fresh herb diet simply enhancing the natural flavour giving it a far greater depth of flavour and extra dimension without making the meat taste 'herby'.

Hand finished by our own butchers ensuring that our poultry is fully traceable and of the highest quality.

By maintaining the highest possible animal welfare standards and enhancing their diet with fresh herbs, Herb Fed birds have a flavour that is difficult to beat.

PACK SIZE

2 x 2.2kg Minimum Weight (Each chicken will serve approximately 5-6 people)
COOKING GUIDE

Cook at 190°C / Gas Mark 5 for 18 minutes per lb (454g). 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, baste the bird with the pan juices.


The chicken is cooked when the juices from deep in the thigh run clear when pierced, or when a core temperature of 75°C is reached. If the bird is not yet cooked, check every 10 minutes after the recommended cooking time.


Rest the chicken for 15 minutes before carving.
SERVING SUGGESTION

Serve these juicy Herb Fed Whole Chickens wit ALL THE TRIMMIMGS! Then enjoy leftovers in hearty soups, fresh salads, or comforting sandwiches for easy weekday meals. Emma's favourite: Boxing Day Club Sandwich -Chicken, Streaky bacon, leftover stuffing, Cranberry sauce, dash of mayo, lettuce & tomato. Tripple decker on thick farmhouse bread!

DELIVERY

The Christmas delivery date for this chicken is: Tuesday 23rd December 2025.

Christmas week Collection from farm date: Tuesday 23rd December (9am-5pm) and Wednesday 24th December (9am – 11am). We deliver our Christmas poultry nationwide to any UK mainland address. We can’t give you an exact time for delivery but DPD will email you on the day of your delivery with a 2 hour slot. Further delivery information and details on how to download the DPD app to track your delivery from the farm to your house, should you wish to, can be found in our FAQ’s.
