Multi Award-winning Poultry with Exceptional Flavour

Slow grown & Free Range

Raised Properly on our Family Farm, from Field to Fork.

DESCRIPTION

Herb Fed free range Herb Fed Bronze Turkeys are reared with care using traditional farming methods that put welfare, flavour and quality first. During the day, they're free to roam between their spacious barns and open paddocks, where they can express their natural behaviours by exploring, foraging and enjoying the fresh herbs that supplement their carefully balanced diet.

This distinctive herb fed approach, combined with plenty of space to roam and slower, more natural growth, helps produce a beautifully succulent turkey with exceptional flavour and a firm, satisfying texture. It's a difference you'll notice from the very first taste. The birds are dry plucked to give the finest finish and hang for a minimum of 10 days to provide a fuller flavoured, firmer textured meat.

Herb Fed bronze turkeys are individually boxed, hand finished and arrive with vacuum packed giblets (included in weight), a packet of fresh herbs, cooking instructions and a recipe for the ‘Perfect Christmas stuffing’.

A Note About Dry-Plucking

Our Bronze Turkeys are traditionally dry plucked and hand finished, so you may occasionally spot a small pen feather. This is completely normal and harmless. Please don't waste precious time pulling them out – they naturally frazzle away during roasting.

Herb Fed Free-Range Bronze Turkey

Our free range Herb Fed Bronze Turkeys are reared with care using traditional farming methods that put welfare, flavour and quality first. During the day, they roam freely between spacious barns and open paddocks, exploring, foraging and enjoying fresh herbs alongside their carefully balanced diet.

This distinctive herb fed approach, combined with plenty of space and slower, more natural growth, produces a beautifully succulent turkey with exceptional flavour and a firm, satisfying texture. It's a difference you'll notice from the very first taste.

Traditionally Dry Plucked for Outstanding Quality

Unlike many commercially produced turkeys, our Bronze Turkeys are traditionally dry plucked by hand, a method favoured by skilled poultry farmers for generations. Because every Herb Fed Bronze Turkey is individually hand finished, you may occasionally notice the odd pin feather (also known as a pen feather). These are tiny, undeveloped feathers which sometimes remain after preparation.

This is completely normal with traditionally hand-finished poultry and is simply a sign that your turkey has not been heavily processed. Please don't spend time trying to remove them before cooking - they naturally frazzle away during roasting and are perfectly harmless.

Hung for a Minimum of 10 Days

Every Bronze Turkey is hung for a minimum of 10 days to develop a deeper, richer flavour, improve tenderness and create the firm texture prized by discerning cooks. It's one reason our turkeys make such a special Christmas centrepiece.

Everything You Need for the Perfect Festive Centrepiece

Each Herb Fed Bronze Turkey is individually boxed and carefully prepared before dispatch. Your box includes:

  • Free-range Herb Fed Bronze Turkey
  • Vacuum-packed giblets (included in the stated weight)
  • Fresh herbs
  • Cooking instructions
  • Our Perfect Christmas Stuffing recipe

A Traditional Turkey with Exceptional Flavour

At Herb Fed Poultry, we combine free-range rearing, a distinctive herb-fed diet, traditional dry plucking, careful hand finishing and a minimum 10-day hanging period to produce premium British Bronze Turkeys with exceptional flavour, succulent meat and outstanding quality.

It's a slower, more traditional approach – but we believe it's well worth the wait.
